10th CSEAR Italy Conference and 5th CSEAR Italy Doctoral Colloquium

The Department of Management (University of Turin), in collaboration with the CSEAR Italy, is delighted to host the 10th Conference on Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR) Italy, “20 Years of CSEAR Italy: learning from the past, mirroring the present, and shaping the future”, that will be held in Torino (Italy) on September 7–9, 2026. This will be preceded by the 5th CSEAR Italy Doctoral Colloquium, which takes place on September 7, 2026.

The 10th Italian CSEAR Conference aims to provide a space for critical discussion and reflection on the evolution of social and environmental accounting. In particular, the conference offers an opportunity to present and discuss research ideas, emerging projects, and working/full papers, encouraging constructive interaction, engagement, and dialogue in a friendly and supportive environment.

Submissions

We welcome conceptual, empirical, and interdisciplinary contributions that address contemporary environmental and societal challenges in private, public and non-governmental organisations. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

• Historical insights, evolving practices, and future trends in social and environmental accounting and accountability
• Addressing contemporary global challenges and environmental and social crises
• Transparency, ethics, and responsibility across supply chains and towards stakeholders
• Digital technologies and AI in sustainability accounting and accountability
• Interdisciplinary perspectives linking social and environmental issues and accounting,
  accountability, control systems, stakeholder engagement, and organisational behaviour
• The role of accounting in promoting sustainable change through innovation, transformation and pro-social mindsets

We particularly encourage submissions that offer forward-looking perspectives, critical reflections on current practices, or revisit key debates with fresh insights grounded on the lessons from the past.

Abstracts (max. 500 words) or full papers should be submitted by May 1, 2026.
